Scholarships

Bowl for kids' sake 2010The following is a list of scholarships that are specifically for management, industrial and engineering management, and accounting majors. In some cases, the donor has specified the amount of money provided by the award. In other cases, funds available and number of scholarships awarded influence the amount of the award. To be considered for any need-based scholarship, a student must submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) no later than March 1.

Application forms for consideration for scholarship awards for the academic year 2010-2011 may be picked up in the department office (Owen 110), from your advisor, or by downloading the form at the following link:

Management Scholarship Form 2013-2014

  • Amanda Massey Memorial Scholarship
    • Declared major in accounting, industrial and engineering management, or management
    • Preference given to a North Buncombe High School Graduate
    • Demonstrate academic excellence
    • Demonstrate service to the university or community
    • Preference given to members of UNC Asheville 's Pan-Hellenic and IFC organizations
    • Financial need will be considered but is not a requirement

  • Asheville Sales Executive
  • Beta Gamma Sigma (BGS)
    • Department of Management & Accountancy major
    • Inductee or Member of Beta Gamma Sigma
    • must have completed 20 hours of management or accounting course work
    • demonstrate leadership

    • demonstrate citizenship
    • additional information on this scholarship
  • Claudel Brooks McKenzie Honorary Scholarship
    • Accountancy Association Member
    • completed or enrolled in Intermediate Accounting I
    • must have at least six (6) hours remaining in course of study

  • James L. Yearout Degree Completion Scholarship in Management & Accountancy

    • must be a non-traditional student
    • must have fewer than thirty (30) hours remaining in course of study

The Department of Management and Accountancy is dedicated to assisting our majors in achieving their academic goals.
